What to expect…
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team. Reporting to the General Accountant and with a dotted line to the Billing and AR Analyst, the Junior Accountant will play a key role in supporting various accounting functions and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data.

  • This is a full-time position based in Montreal, QC from our HQ.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment processing and customer/vendor inquiries.
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and other financial accountants.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare and maintain financial records, including general ledger entries and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with payroll processing and related filings.
  • Support the finance team with ad hoc projects and tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a Related field.
  • Previous experience (1-2 years) in an accounting or finance role is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with Netsuite or similar software is a plus).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • CPA designation or working towards CPA designation is an asset.

Salary range: $50k-$60k + 5% bonus

This is a full-time position based in Montreal, reporting to the General Accountant and Billing and AR Analyst, with a dotted line to the VP Finance.
