DescriptionAppleOne is hiring a Junior Accountant in Oakville, ON!
Salary: $55,000 – $65,000/ year
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Hybrid Role!
Job Overview:
The Junior Accountant will work closely with the Controller and the accounting team to provide comprehensive financial and accounting support for the organization.
Duties:
- Handle accounts payable/receivable tasks including posting bills, making payments, collecting payments, performing supplier account reconciliations, and generating financial reports.
- Accurately record sales invoices and other revenue transactions.
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Assist in preparing periodic financial reports.
- Maintain various account schedules (e.g., PPE, loans, and accruals).
- Organize and maintain a systematic filing system for bookkeeping and financial records.
- Assist with additional finance and accounting duties as required.
Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree, preferably in Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and consistently accurate.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks Online preferred, but training will be provided).
