With significant growth and expansion planned in North America and abroad, we are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our growing Finance Team in Kelowna as a Junior Accounting Associate. Located in downtown Kelowna, we have a trendy office space as part of The District on Bernard.Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Junior Accounting Associate is responsible for transaction processing and other finance-related activities. In addition to exceptional technical and communication skills, we require a detail-oriented individual with demonstrated initiative to improve processes and increase efficiencies.Position Title: Junior Accounting AssociateJob Type: Full Time – in OfficeLocation: Kelowna, BCSalary: $40,000 – $45,000 (dependent upon experience)The Work:· Process accounts payable invoices, payments, and credit card transactions· Process accounts receivable invoices· Process inventory transactions· Bank reconciliations· Reconciliation of general ledger accounts· Month end processing· Government remittances· Ad hoc reportingRequirementsThe Candidate:· Completion of a Certificate in Accounting or Bookkeeping from a recognized accredited post-secondary institution· One year experience in accounting at an entry level· Knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications· Experience with Sage Accounting an asset· Motivated and career-focused· Solid team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic· Good organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize under pressure· Ability to take initiative and problem solve· Strong interpersonal, communication, and time-management skills· Strong attention to accuracy and detail· Adaptable and able to learn quicklyBenefitsThe Rewards:We commit to providing you with a supportive, fun, and exciting work environment that is focused on helping you grow both personally and professionally.
