The post-holder will join the friendly and enthusiastic clinical team based at Prince Charles Hospital and Royal Glamorgan Hospital as a Junior Clinical Fellow in Paediatrics. This post if fixed term to meet service needs.This post is fixed term for up to 6 months to cover maternity leave.Main duties of the jobRoles and Responsibilities:This is a full time post. The posts offer a diverse role and developmental opportunities to suit applicant’s interests. This post provides Junior Clinical Fellow cover to the general paediatric and neonatal service.The post holder will participate in a rolling rota sharing with tier 1 doctors.Duties of the Post HolderSupporting daily ward rounds in the Children’s Ward, Neonatal Unit and report to the senior clinic fellow and consultant in charge.See Patients in Emergency Department when required based on clinical and team situationsParticipate in clinical/medical audit, teaching and research within the children’s service.Managing the acute paediatric assessments working alongside clinical team with consultant support.Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.About usCwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board is part of the NHS Wales family. - MBBS or equivalent medical qualification (1)

- Applicants must: Be eligible for full registration with, and hold a current licence to practise from, the GMC at the advertised post start date Have evidence of achievement of foundation competences from a UKFPO-affiliated foundation programme or equivalent, at the advertised start date in line with GMC standards/Good Medical Practice Be eligible to work in the UK Advanced Life Support Certificate from the Resuscitation Council UK or equivalent (as required to complete core medical competences) by intended start date.
