What You Will Learn:

The DE&I Intern will support the function of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) in their efforts to build the standard in making L’Oréal North America, the beauty industry, and the world more inclusive. This position reports to the Sr. Manager (DE&I) and works in partnership with other members of the US and International DE&I teams, L’Oréal Business Leaders, L’Oréal North America employees and Community and NGO stakeholders. This position must maintain strict confidentiality of Department and Company information.

Based in our L’Oréal West HQ, the DE&I Intern will have exposure to project management, implementation of internal and external community initiatives, and development of key engagement programming in service of Our People, Our Consumer, and Our World.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead special projects assigned by manager (ex. Employee Engagement Initiatives, Culture Building, Employee Resource Groups, Marketplace Insights)
  • Support on-site implementation of key DE&I corporate events and local initiatives
  • Support the development and execution of Employee Resource Group initiatives
  • Provide administrative support related to DE&I project management
  • Assist with the development and execution of Employee Resource Group initiatives
  • Support internal communication distribution and amplification
  • Collect and analyze employee insights to support an inclusive culture

What We Are Looking For:

  • Candidates must have received a bachelor’s degree within the last 12 months OR must have graduated with a master’s degree within the last 12 months with no gap more than 6 months in education history
  • Entrepreneurially spirited, strong work ethic, and customer driven
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication (verbal/written), organization, presentation, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated skills in project management, time management, attention to detail, and project prioritization
  • A sense of curiosity, urgency, and results/service orientation with a high degree of flexibility, adaptability, and responsiveness; ability to handle a fast-paced environment and operate with ambiguity
  • Positivity, resourcefulness, teamwork, and initiative are key factors to success
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
  • Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, TEAMS, Sharepoint)
