Junior Purchaser/Administrator – AF Winterbourne (6 month fixed term contract)Applications are invited to apply for the role Junior Purchaser/Administrator:JOB PURPOSEThe purpose of the role of is to ensure the effective and efficient performance of the Winterbourne Purchasing and Planning Team through purchasing of raw materials to support the business.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Place and maintain purchase orders for Raw materials (quantities, dates and call offs)
- Support Senior Supply chain Purchaser in the SRM process
- Place and maintain purchase orders for Secondary packaging and traded goods
- Manage suppliers’ and booking in requests
- Manage & optimise inventories (Raw Material, Semi Finished Goods, Finished Goods) related to Suppliers and Value Stream in scope
- Supporting managing aged inventory
- Support in stock check and inventory control
- Support Supply Chain improvement initiatives
- Cross-training within Planning and Purchasing
EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES
- Knowledge of MRP / ERP systems e.g. SAP, is desirable.
- Good attention to detail
- Good PC skills e.g. Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel)
- Fluent English language
- An understanding of a manufacturing environment is desirable
- Stock management experience is desirable
- Good communication skills
- Positive attitude towards change
- Strong planning and organisational skills
- Ability to work under own initiative and drive improvement
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to work well in a team and individually
