JOIN OUR SPECIALIST STROKE AND NEUROLOGICAL REHABILITATION UNIT!We are looking to recruit compassionate, highly motivated junior sister/charge nurse with excellent communication skills to join our patient centred supportive specialist Stroke and Neuro rehabilitation unit.Airedale NHS Foundation Trust is committed to delivering a safe, fast and effective acute stroke service with the support of the Bradford Teaching Hospital Foundation Trust who will provide initial hyper acute assessment, treatment and stroke care.Ward 5 is a 24 bedded unit providing stroke / neurological rehabilitation to patients with complex care needs and the services provided include TIA clinic. We are looking for an innovative registered qualified nurse, to work with our dynamic specialist multi-disciplinary team that deliver an evidenced based patient centred approach to care.We offer bespoke training and the opportunities to develop your skills and professional development. As an inter-disciplinary team member you will contribute to the patient’s journey through the stroke pathway and influence seamless transfers of care throughout the stroke service.This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside a strong clinical team who are committed to high clinical standards and a supportive environment.   • The post holder is responsible for the delivery of care needs and maintenance of Clinical Standards on the ward, under the direction of the senior sister over the 24 hour period.
  • To assist in the leadership and development of an identified group of nurses within the ward
  • To ensure that patients and their relatives are updated regularly with accurate information, and ensure that this is presented in a way that they understand
  • In pursuing these duties the post holder will ensure compliance with the NHS Constitution and be familiar with the NHS England Guidance ‘Understanding the new NHS’.
