General PurposeUnder general direction, organizes and coordinates juvenile activities in conjunction with the Sandoval County Juvenile Justice Advisory Board (SCJJAB) and its subcommittees; communicates with a broad variety of entities, officials, and other professionals to offer technical and administrative support; completes other duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsEducation and experience:

  • Associate’s degree in public administration, business administration, social services, psychology, criminal justice, education or a related field and two (2) years of related work experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Licenses or Certifications:

  • Valid New Mexico Driver’s License or ability to obtain a New Mexico Driver’s License within 30 days of hire.

  • Must pass a background check applicable to position.

Essential Job FunctionsIn area of assignment:

  • Organizes, coordinates, and provides staff support to the Sandoval County Juvenile Justice Advisory Board (SCJJAB).
  • Coordinates activities, projects, and work plans with agencies providing juvenile justice services; reviews agency’s program compliance; meets with agency staff to provide additional support as needed.
  • Collects and reviews correspondence, statistical reports, and summaries for Sandoval County, the Juvenile Justice Advisory Board and funding agencies from various entities.
  • Promotes and recruit’s community participation and involvement in SCJJAB programs and activities; promotes collaborative efforts among service providers and subcommittees.
  • Works closely and collaborates with CYFD, local law enforcement, courts, Pueblos and Navajo Nation, relevant service providers and all area public schools.
  • Assists in the preparation of presentations for the Boards, for training, and for community outreach groups; prepares marketing materials and brochures.
  • Assists in the coordination of the Ropes Course; collaborates with New Mexico National Guard and all trained Ropes Course Facilitators; assembles curriculum maps for programs.
  • Assists in the coordination of all programmatic aspects of the Victim Offender Mediators Program; works with Sandoval County Juvenile Probation Officers as needed.
  • Attends and participates in a variety of committee, subcommittee, agency and professional meetings and activities.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Expected salary

$42764.8 – 51313.6 per year
