Kansas City Kansas Campus Worship Leader

The Kansas City Kansas Campus Worship Leader is a part time position, serving under the guidance of the Worship & Prayer Pastor, leading the campus congregation in worship, while recruiting, training, and developing worship team members at the Kansas City Campus.

Principal Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead worship for weekend services at the Kansas City, KS Campus (KCK).
  • Recruit, train and develop KCK Campus team members.
  • Schedule and lead weekly worship rehearsals for the team.
  • Work under the guidance of the Worship & Prayer Pastor to plan set lists on a monthly basis.
  • Maintain an updated repertoire of worship music consistent with the culture and values of LifeMission Church as directed by the Worship & Prayer Pastor.
  • Work alongside Campus Pastor to coordinate worship for different ministries and events within the campus.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Competencies for Position:

  • Worship Leading Proficiency – Proficient at leading (playing and singing) worship and skill to help develop other worship leaders
  • Leadership Skills – Ability to lead teams well with humility, grace and vision – recruiting, training, and scheduling team members
  • Musical Proficiency – Proficient in musical ability to the level that you can offer training and development for your team, and continue leading the worship team forward in musical ability

General Skills & Qualifications:

  • Musical skills and ability to lead both vocally and on an instrument (keys and/or guitar)
  • Basic knowledge of sound equipment
  • Team building skills

General Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to:

  • Sit/stand for long periods of time
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lb
