Are you an adaptable, reflective Primary Teacher?A lovely Primary school in Smethwick is seeking to appoint a Year 1 Teacher from 4th November, on a full-time basis. The current Teacher is relocating and will be officially leaving her post at the school after Christmas. However, the school would like the replacement Teacher to start with them after the October Half-Term, with the view that they can shadow the current Teacher whilst they familiarise themself with the school and the class. Up to Christmas, there will be no prepping and planning required whilst you shadow the current class Teacher, but from January 2025, you will take over full class Teacher responsibilities.This is a fantastic, 2-form entry school, rated “Good” in their most recent Ofsted report. Having worked alongside this school for several years to support their staffing needs, they have an incredibly supportive community and staff team who are warm, friendly and helpful. Their key vision is to provide children with a safe and creative environment where they can have the confidence to be themselves.The successful Teacher will be covering a delightful Year 1 class, who will be at a crucial stage in their learning. It is an ideal role for a Primary Teacher with experience working in KS1, who has a thorough understanding of the learning outcomes required in the National Curriculum for this year group. You must be committed, flexible and most importantly, an excellent team player.Applicants need to have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (ECTs encouraged to apply)
- Experience working in KS1
- High expectations of children’s achievement and progress
- A creative, innovative approach to teaching
- A real desire to make a positive difference to children
