Our success relies on the professionalism, commitment and caring nature of each and every team member and we’re always looking for similar-minded people to join us.As a Kitchen Assistant you should be passionate about delivering exceptional food to the ladies and gentlemen we support, providing a daily catering service for the home and where necessary the provision of meals for seasonal events.About the rolePrinciple Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Cook to develop daily menus and display food choices clearly using visual displays around the home and digital software provided.
  • Prepare, cook and serve exceptional quality main meals, snacks and cakes. The presentation of meals should reflect the passion and dedication of the you as a Kitchen Assistant, and support residents portion preferences, diets, medical requirements, ethnic and personal needs.
  • Take responsibility when washing and cleaning floors, crockery, utensils, work surfaces and other kitchens equipment to ensure that the necessary hygiene and health and safety standards are maintained in the kitchen and dining room as appropriate.
  • Show a desire and passion to help make a difference to the lives of others and work effectively as part of a team who believe in respecting every person as a unique individual, treating them with the dignity you would wish for yourself.
  • The post holder is required to complete all necessary records and routines accurately and maintain a clean and safe working environment for everyone living and working at the home.

The ideal candidate should have a natural passion for preparing and serving exceptional food and should understand and respect the positive impact seasonal, fresh, nutritious food has on the wellbeing of each resident in their care.The post holder will need to show respect, understanding the rights for privacy and demonstrate high professional standards of propriety in their day-to-day work. The ideal candidate should also show a keen interest in learning and growing their skills through additional required training, peer mentoring and frequent performance reviews.Schedule: Full-time, Part-time and Permanent (hours to be discussed at interview)Wage rate: Earn from £11.44 per hour.Benefits: Company pension.   • Right to live and work in the UK
  • Proven experience assisting in kitchens
  • Sound knowledge of food health and safety regulations

Desired Criteria

  • A relevant qualification in Food/Catering or another relevant subject
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team
