An inclusive and welcoming mainstream primary school in Rochdale is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their Key Stage 2 team on a full-time basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of several children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), providing targeted support and contributing to their academic, social, and emotional development alongside General TA duties.Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the class teacher with planning and delivering differentiated activities

Monitor and track progress, adapting strategies to meet individual needsPromote a positive and inclusive learning environmentCollaborate effectively with SENCOs, teachers, and external agenciesSupport behaviour management strategies where neededRequirements:Experience supporting children in Key Stage 2 is essentialA good understanding of a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and speech and language needsAbility to build strong, supportive relationships with pupils and staffEnhanced DBS on the Update Service is essentialRelevant qualifications (Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) desirableWhat We Offer:A supportive and friendly team environmentOngoing professional development opportunitiesThe chance to make a real impact in children’s education and well-beingThis role is subject to an Enhanced DBS (child and adult workforce), satisfactory references, and full compliance with KCSIE (2024) guidance and safer recruitment standards.
