Additional days expected to cover ad hoc days in various classes.A primary school in Lancaster is seeking a KS2 Teacher to join their team. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing high-quality education and nurturing the growth and development. This is a part time role, working 2 day per week in their Year 3 (Tuesday) and Year 4 class (Wednesday). This position is to start immediately, until at least December 2024.There will also be an opportunity for additional days on an ad hoc basis covering various classes.This position is to start immediately 2024 for initially a term.Key Responsibilities: * Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the diverse needs of KS2 children.

  • Create a supportive and stimulating learning environment that fosters curiosity, creativity, and exploration.
  • Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to facilitate children’s learning across all areas of the KS2 curriculum.
  • Assess children’s progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records of their achievements.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support children’s holistic development.
  • Uphold the school’s policies and procedures, promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment for all.

Qualifications and Experience: * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience teaching in KS2.

  • Strong understanding of KS2 curriculum
  • Ability to plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons that promote children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
