As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you’ll be a vital part of our team, helping to provide tailored support to students and assisting teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.Job Description:As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the classroom teacher in delivering the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
  • Working with students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
  • Assisting with literacy, numeracy, and other key subjects to help students build strong foundations.
  • Encouraging the development of critical thinking, problem-solving, and social skills.
  • Supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) to ensure they can access the curriculum effectively.
  • Helping with classroom organization, preparation of resources, and displays.
  • Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teachers.

Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent.
  • Experience working with KS2 students is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with children.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
