Job Title: KS2 Teaching Assistant
Location: Doncaster
Salary: £83.85 – £100 per day
Contract Type: Full-time/Part-time, term-time only
Start Date: January 2025About the Role:
We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic KS2 (Key Stage 2) Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team in Doncaster. This is an exciting opportunity to support children aged 7–11 in their learning journey, helping them to achieve their academic and personal goals.Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging and effective lessons aligned with the KS2 curriculum.
  • Provide targeted support to individual pupils and small groups, including those with additional needs or requiring extra challenge.
  • Assist in preparing lesson materials and resources to enhance learning experiences.
  • Monitor and record pupil progress, offering constructive feedback to the class teacher.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all children feel supported and valued.
  • Support children’s social, emotional, and behavioural development, promoting positive behaviour and resilience.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and colleagues to ensure consistent support for pupils.
  • Uphold safeguarding and health and safety procedures at all times.

About You:

  • Experience working with children in a primary school setting, particularly KS2 (desirable but not essential).
  • A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Childcare, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and a passion for supporting children’s education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive, patient, and nurturing approach to working with children.
  • A commitment to professional development and continuous learning.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
