DescriptionLaboratory team supervisorExcellent opportunity for a laboratory team leader position within an international food testing laboratory.Key responsibilities:
Oversee all activities within the laboratory
Provide guidance and training to new staff members on techniques such as PCR and ELISA
Food allergen testing using ELISA and PCR
Delegate work and manage team rota
Maintain the quality system in accordance with internal policies.
Undertake investigations to ensure effective preventative actions are implemented
Manage any performance issues occur within the laboratory
Ensure all staff members are complying with company quality standards and proceduresRequirements:Proven experience working within a highly regulated laboratory such UKAS accredited laboratory
Experience in using techniques such as PCR and ELISA
Previous experience in training new staff or managing new staff
Previous experience in working in a food testing laboratory is highly desired
Ability to work within a high throughput environment
Excellent attention to detail
