Brucejack is a fly-in/fly-out operation with pick-up points across Western Canada, making it easy for people from different places to join us. We work closely with local First Nations communities including the Nisga’a, Tahltan, Gitanyow, and Gitxsan, to build respectful partnerships and celebrate our shared community.As a member of the Brucejack family, we put your health, comfort, and safety first. The committee also plans holiday decorations, charity raffles, and outdoor events, helping create a warm and friendly community.About the PositionYour ImpactAs the Lead Camp Services, you will oversee the planning and execution of site and town accommodations, catering, janitorial services, and staff transport operations. Your leadership will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Newmont’s standards— including safety, health, budget, and cultural expectations—while delivering high-quality services that enhance the experience of employees of Brucejack Mine.As Part of Our Team, You Will
- Leading teams, ensuring psychological safety and respect at work are at the forefront of all interactions.
- Lead and oversee Accommodation, Staff Transportation (if applicable), Catering, and Janitorial operations to ensure efficient and high-quality service delivery.
- Manage vendor relationships and stakeholder expectations, ensuring compliance with company standards and employee experience.
- Develop, implement, and monitor cost-effective strategies for managing assets while maintaining service quality and efficiency.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety, environmental, and health regulations, proactively addressing risks and escalating concerns as needed.
- Manage operational budgets, ensuring financial responsibility while meeting company standards.
- Conduct regular inspections, audits, and performance assessments of vendors and service providers to maintain high-quality.
- Foster a high-performing team culture through effective leadership, coaching, feedback, and professional development initiatives.
- Act as a key liaison with stakeholders, ensuring transparent communication and timely resolution of concerns related to camp services.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, problem-solving challenges, and driving sustainable, positive outcomes for the organization.
Prerequisites for Your Success in This Role
- A minimum 3-5 years of experience in managing remote camp operations and staff transportation.
- Proven leadership in mentoring, supporting, and developing teams.
- Expertise in contract management, overseeing large budgets, and cost control.
- HACCP protocols and Industrial Camp Regulations and MCAR.
- Skilled in issue resolution and continuous site improvements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), and SAP
- Qualifications in Facilities Management, Business Administration, HR, or related fields.
- Experience working with a culturally diverse workforce and Indigenous groups
Your Work Environment
- Remote camp setting with private accommodations provided
- Onsite meals, gym, recreation, and entertainment facilities
- Travel allowance and transportation arrangements included
- Rotational schedule: 13 days on / 13 days off

We are now recruiting for the position of Lead Camp Services with a competitive annual base salary of $126,225-168,300 plus 25% short-term/15% long-term incentives. The offered base salary will be determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies, with consideration to internal equity.
