- Distribute and balance the workload among employees to ensure each employee has enough work to keep busy.
- Adjust workloads as needed and obtain assistance from the supervisor on problems that may arise.
- Maintain records of work completion for all employees and prepare production reports as requested.
- Provide employees with written instructions, reference materials, and supplies to complete specific tasks.
- Give on-the-job training to new employees in accordance with established procedures and practices.
- Monitor working conditions such as ventilation, lighting, safety, etc.

- BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION WILL BE REQUIRED FOR ALL HIRES.
- APPOINTMENT MAY BE SUBJECT TO A 2 YEAR TRIAL OR 1 YEAR PROBATIONARY PERIOD.

- SELECTIVE SERVICE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR MALES BORN AFTER 12/31/1959.
- INCUMBENT WILL BE REQUIRED TO OBTAIN AND MAINTAIN FIRST AID, CARDIOPULMONARYRESUSCITATION (CPR) AND AUTOMATED EXTERNAL DEFIBRILLATOR (AED) CERTIFICATION.
QualificationsApplicants must meet the qualification requirements contained in the OPM Standards. For this position, they are listed below.SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.GS-6: 1-year of specialized experience to at least the GS-5 level in the Federal service. Examples include: perform the basic routine functions of the resident life programs, including housing operations, room assignments, students safety and security; facilitate a residential program focused on improving the students quality of life, enhance student learning, and building a community among students in the residence halls; serve as a leader by distributing workload among employees, training employees in accordance with established procedures and practices, and reporting performance, progress and training needs of employees to the immediate supervisor.Only experience obtained by the closing date of this announcement will be considered.EducationThis position does not have a positive education requirement at this grade level.
