Job SummaryJob DescriptionWHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?As the Lead Digital Product Manager for the RBC Direct Investing mobile experience, your mandate is to influence the strategic vision and drive the execution of a cutting-edge mobile experience for our self-directed investors. As the mobile product owner, you will work closely with our business stakeholders and colleagues across many teams, to champion the rising significance of our mobile offering.You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously push the boundaries of innovation, advocating for the mobile channel’s unique challenges and opportunities. Your focus will be on delivering a seamless, intuitive, and client-centric experience that empowers investors to effortlessly manage their portfolios.WHAT WILL YOU DO?Product Strategy & Vision:Define and communicate the mobile product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with business objectives and user needs.Pro-actively advocate for the mobile channel, by identifying its unique opportunities and challenges, and pushing the organization to prioritize mobile-first solutions that meet the demands of a fast-paced, competitive market.Continuously refine product goals based on analytics, user feedback and market trends with a desire to stay ahead of the competition.Client Experience Focus:Prioritize features and enhancements that elevate the overall client experience, ensuring the mobile app remains intuitive, responsive, and user-friendly.Implement mobile-specific features that empower self-directed investors with cutting-edge tools for research, portfolio management, and trading on-the-go.Stakeholder Management & Advocacy:Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including business strategy, marketing, compliance, design, and technology teams, to ensure the mobile experience is fully aligned with broader digital strategies.Build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders to advance the mobile experience as the forefront component of RBC Direct Investing’s digital strategy, securing resources and support for continuous innovation.Agile Product Ownership:Act as the product owner within Agile teams, translating business requirements into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.Lead sprint planning, manage product backlogs, and prioritize based on both client needs and the mobile app’s strategic potential.Pushing Boundaries & Innovation:Foster a culture of innovation by encouraging experimentation and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible on mobile devices.Explore and leverage mobile-specific technologies (e.g., push notifications, biometric authentication, native app optimizations) to create distinct value for mobile users.Data-Driven Decision Making:Use data analytics and client feedback to drive continuous product improvement, with a focus on the mobile experience.Establish and track mobile-specific KPIs to assess feature performance and drive adjustments where necessary.Collaboration & Leadership:Foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment, encouraging curiosity, innovation, and a shared focus on the client experience.Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and quality assurance professionals, ensuring mobile features are delivered to the highest standard.Market Research & Competitive Analysis:Stay attuned to mobile app trends, competitive offerings, and emerging technologies, translating insights into strategic opportunities for the platform.Continuously evaluate new mobile technologies, frameworks, and partnerships that could enhance the product and create value for DIY investors.WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?Curiosity-Driven: You are passionate about understanding client needs, exploring new mobile technologies, and pushing boundaries to innovate.Client-Centric: You prioritize user experience, recognizing the unique challenges and opportunities of delivering a seamless mobile app for self-directed investors.Thrives Under Pressure: You excel in fast-paced, competitive environments, using pressure as motivation to stay ahead of competitors and deliver the best possible product.Mobile Advocate: You are a champion for the mobile channel, advocating for its specific needs and ensuring it plays a central role in the broader digital strategy.Collaborative Leader: You thrive in cross-functional teams, communicating effectively to bring innovative mobile solutions to life.Analytical & Data-Informed: You use data and insights to make informed decisions and continuously improve the mobile experience.Agile Champion: You excel in Agile environments, balancing speed, quality, and client value in delivering mobile app features.RBC is committed to supporting flexible work arrangements when and where available.
