Brief Description
We are looking for a Lead Internal Auditor for a Permanent opportunity (full time) based in Milton Keynes. The purpose of this role is to lead and deliver planned internal audit assignments focusing on a wide range of subjects, such as: safety, health, asset management, environment, and significant change programmes.

This individual will be able to answer yes to the following questions:
· Are you someone that has experience of identifying significant risks to business objectives?
· Do you have relevant up to date experience of assessing the design, effectiveness, and efficiency of internal controls over risks?
· Are you able to provide senior executives with recommendations that will improve the quality of their control environments?
· Can you coach, train and provide guidance to other members of the team?

Person Spec
The successful candidate will need to hold a professional qualification such as qualified accountant ( ACA, CIMA,ACCA) or IIA or have relevant up to date operational experience. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills – written and verbal, including report writing. Experience in applying data analytics to provide audit insights is desirable. You will be a team player but at the same time able to take the lead when it is appropriate to do so and have experience leading teams in a global management consultancy, professional services firm, or a large matrix organisation with an internal audit or consulting background. We also welcome applicants from the utilities and construction sectors. You will also need to have the ability to utilise core risk and controls skills in a broad range of projects both in traditional internal audits and advisory projects aimed at assisting in the implementation of controls / improvements.

Location: Milton Keynes: The Quadrant if you were to work in Milton Keynes you must live within 90 minutes of the Quadrant office.
Salary: Band 3C (£55,596 – £62,546) plus benefits Network Rail adheres to a structured pay framework, any salary offered will be within the pay range advertised.

Interviews: W/C TBC The interview will consist of a 2 – stage interview process 1st interview will consist of a Competency based question pack you may then be invited for a face to face/virtual meeting with the department head following on from that a decision will be reached.
