  • Lead the planning and delivery of engaging and effective lessons for small groups or whole classes, following the curriculum and individual learning plans.
  • Provide targeted support to SEN students, adapting teaching methods to meet their unique learning needs.
  • Assist in the preparation and organisation of educational materials and resources.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement and evaluate individualised education plans.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to teachers and adjusting support strategies as necessary.
  • Foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere in the classroom, helping students build confidence and participate actively.
  • Utilise a range of educational resources and assistive technologies to enhance learning experiences for SEN students.
  • Support the management of classroom behaviour, promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Mentor and guide other teaching assistants, sharing best practices and providing support as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant, with a track record of taking on leadership responsibilities.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as HLTA status or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude towards education and a commitment to supporting the personal and academic development of children with special needs.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to tailor teaching methods to the evolving needs of students.
  • Proficiency in using educational resources and technologies to support learning.
