Learning Support Assistant

Exciting opportunity for a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, offering £90 per day. Immediate start with comprehensive training for this one-to-one support role in Year 5.

Position Overview: Work closely with an exceptional Year 5 student with autism, guiding them academically and emotionally. Provide tailored support for academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build a trusting relationship with the student for security and comfort.
• Collaborate on individualised learning plans with the teacher and professionals.
• Implement strategies for academic progress and specific learning needs.
• Assist with daily tasks, organisation, schedules, and assignments.
• Create a nurturing, inclusive environment for positive interactions and independent learning.
• Monitor and document progress, providing feedback to parents and the school team.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous experience with autism or special educational needs is advantageous.
• Understanding of autism spectrum disorders and effective support strategies.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Patience, empathy, and adaptability to meet changing student needs.
