Learning Support Assistant Location: Smethwick, West Midlands Days – Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 15.30 Setting: Mainstream Primary Start – January 2025 – July 2025, with the potential to be extended further. Pay: £83, DOE Axcis Education are working with a School in Smethwick that is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join their friendly team as soon as possible. This role is a long term with the potential for the right candidate to become permanent. The school is a friendly and welcoming setting and caters for a range of Special Needs, including ASD and SEMH. The school promotes learning through a range of methods and activities are planned according to the level the child is working at. The successful candidate will be working on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. The Children you will be working with have ASD and ADHD.. You will be supporting the children with day to day activities in and around the classroom and ensuring the safety of the child at all times. To be successful for this role you will • Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification or equivalent • Have experience of using Makaton in the Classroom • Be able to always remain calm • Have a DBS that is on the Update Service or be willing to pay £56.71 for a new check to be done INDMID
