Job description
Regent’s Park College seeks to appoint a Lecturer in Ancient Greek and Joint Director of Studies in Classics from 1st October 2024 for a one-year, fixed term post, shared with another newly appointed colleague performing an analogous role.The main duties of the post will be to: teach Ancient Greek in Greats in Classics for up to four hours per week in full term; arrange teaching for Classics students, as appropriate; share in the oversight and responsibilities of Director of Studies for Classics students; be a part of the personal tutor scheme and the pastoral care of students in College; participate in the tutorial committee.The successful candidate will hold a post-graduate degree in a related subject and have experience teaching Ancient Greek to undergraduates to the level expected in Oxford Greats.
