Lecturer in ComputingSalary: £31,000 to £35,804 per annum, dependent on qualifications and experience.Location: Tresham College, with campuses in Kettering, Corby, and Wellingborough.About the RoleTresham College, part of The Bedford College Group, is seeking an experienced and passionate Lecturer in Computing to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone dedicated to teaching students aged 16-19 within a Further Education (FE) setting, focusing on practical, interactive learning that prepares students for their next steps in education or employment.Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, interactive lessons that engage and motivate students aged 16-19.
  • Support students in their academic progress, providing constructive feedback and additional help as needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to continually improve curriculum delivery and student outcomes.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that meets the diverse needs of our student body.

About YouThe ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in a relevant subject.
  • A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DET) with substantial experience teaching Computing in an FE college or similar setting. Candidates without a PGCE will be supported to gain the qualification.
  • A strong understanding of the Further Education sector and the ability to engage young learners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
