About usThe UCL School of Pharmacy is a Division within the Faculty of Life Sciences (FLS) and is one of five academic areas that constitute the Faculty, the others being Biosciences, the MRC Laboratory for Molecular Cell Biology at UCL, the Sainsbury Wellcome Centre for Neural Circuits and Behaviour and the Gatsby Computational Neuroscience Unit.The Faculty has been associated with seven Nobel Laureates and continues to build on its existing strengths in cell and developmental biology, evolutionary and population genetics, cellular and circuits neuroscience, and structural and molecular biology.The merger with the School of Pharmacy in 2012 provided new opportunities in drug discovery; additionally the Faculty hosts joint appointments with the Francis Crick Institute. More information can be found on our websiteWithin UCL School of Pharmacy, the Research Department of Policy and Practice consists of a diverse group of pharmacists, psychologists and social science researchers with a wide network of associations with other academic and clinical disciplines and institutions in the UK and abroad. Staff are involved in curriculum development and pharmacy practice focused teaching across all four years of the MPharm course.About the roleAs a member of the teaching focused academic team, the post holder will design, prepare and deliver innovative and appropriate teaching, learning and assessments that create interest, understanding and enthusiasm to students a within a range of pharmacy practice related subject areas. The post holder may teach on any of the years of the MPharm undergraduate programme. - Lead the facilitation and delivery of lectures, practical classes, workshops and placements for pharmacy undergraduate students focused on pharmacy practice content
- Support the marking of coursework and assessments eg written exams and OSCEs
- Support the design and writing of pharmacy practice related teaching materials and assessment materials
- Support module leaders with course coordination activities
- Provide pharmacy undergraduates with wellbeing and academic support as their personal tutor
