For further information about the School, please visit www.bartlett.ucl.ac.uk/architectureAbout the role The Bartlett School of Architecture is seeking to appoint a part-time Lecturer (Teaching) position in (BSc Y1 Architecture Design) on a 0.165 FTEWorking in the Department of Architecture at UCL involves delivering high-quality teaching across Year 1 design modules, fostering a collaborative studio culture, and aligning teaching materials with ARB/RIBA criteria. The role requires active collaboration with the Year 1 Director and Associate Directors to enhance course content and student experience, along with managing administrative tasks such as record-keeping and providing feedback. Continuous professional development is essential, including staying updated with the latest pedagogical methods and engaging in relevant research or practice. The position also entails participating in UCL and Bartlett School of Architecture training sessions to ensure the highest standards of teaching and student support.Role specific details (Copy applicable sentences below):
- This is a fixed-term role until 31/08/2025 in the first instance.

About you The successful candidate will be expected to deliver high-quality teaching in architectural design, specifically for Year 1 students, by leveraging their expertise in design, drawing, and making skills. They will contribute to module coordination, mentor students through their coursework, and ensure the teaching aligns with current ARB/RIBA accreditation criteria. The role requires the candidate to work collaboratively with peers, demonstrate empathy and understanding towards a diverse student body, and actively contribute to advancing equality, diversity, and inclusion within the department.
