About the Role
We are looking for a Legal Operations Manager who has legal experience and will be a performance driven individual who is expected to directly assist in managing the Rocket Lawyer Legal Advice Practice in the UK with an eye for marketing our services.
What you will do
- The role will predominantly be managing the operations of the Rocket Lawyer UK legal advice practice, to ensure we are delivering legal advice effectively and efficiently. You shall be responsible for the following activities/tasks:
- Managing and monitoring the legal advice practice email account, including responding to or taking appropriate action on incoming mail;
- Setting up, maintenance and closing of client files (electronic);
- Meeting all due diligence and compliance requirements including those relating to ID, KYC checks, letters of engagement, conflict check and AML regulations;
- Managing new enquiries received from potential customers and responding in a timely manner (no more than 1 business day);
- Conducting legal casework in our practice areas (Company, Commercial, IP, Employment, Family and Personal Affairs)
- Conducting legal research;
- Answering legal questions through our technology platform and providing legal advice to Rocket Lawyer customers;
- Assisting lawyers in conducting legal casework;
- Attend meetings and take detailed minutes of decisions made;
- Attending clients over the phone; providing assistance and updates in a professional and friendly manner; educating clients on our services and upsell where appropriate.
- Raising invoices and managing billing for clients and lawyers including liaising with the Finance Department;
- Contributing to the evolution of our systems, tools and processes to facilitate scale and efficiency.
- Participating in other activities and projects, including reviewing contracts, legal templates, writing guidance and articles on legal topics, drafting legal documents and interview flows and updating and optimising content.

- Legal knowledge and casework experience;

£46,000 – £63,000 a year
