Job description
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Primary School in Little Hulton, Salford. The successful candidate will work alongside the class teacher to support the learning and development of our pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons.
- Working with individuals or small groups of pupils to help them achieve their learning goals.
- Providing pastoral support to pupils who may need extra help.
- Contributing to the creation of a safe and nurturing learning environment.
- Helping to assess pupils’ progress and keeping accurate records.
- Supporting pupils with special educational needs.
Essential Requirements:
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service and a right to work in the UK
Desirable Requirements:
- Knowledge of phonics and early years learning.
- Experience working with pupils with SEND.
- Experience using ICT to support learning.
