This person will report to the Director, Life & Health Reporting and Consolidation. In this role you will be will be part of a global team supporting PartnerRe L&H Business Units across the world, including Paris, Zurich, Hong Kong and Toronto.Primary responsibilities include:Quarterly and Annual Closing process:

  • Prepare and review inputs for use in management reports, including Operations Review, Audit Committee, Outlook and Board reports.
  • Prepare and ensure accuracy of detailed production and financial information to be used by L&H management, the PartnerRe Group and PartnerRe Legal Entities.
  • Prepare and review inputs to Solvency II regulatory submissions and other global regulatory returns.
  • Establish timelines and monitor due dates for inputs to the reporting processes.

Planning:

  • Produce reports for use by management in planning and analysis, including Financial Plan, Production Plan, Outlook, and Board reports.
  • Coordinate, work with and supply information to other teams throughout the Company with respect to PartnerRe Group and Legal Entity reporting (i.e. Own Risk and Solvency Assessment).

Projects, Processes and Other:

  • Lead and/or assist with existing and future projects,
  • Monitor project capitalization and amortization ledgers maintained by Corporate Accounting.
  • Manage ad hoc reporting requests and other deliverables.
  • Manage a L&H intern and ensure deliverables are timely and accurate.
  • Maintain, support and modify the operational processes of the L&H reporting repository to reflect current and evolving business requirements.
  • Maintain and ensure documentation of procedures and processes is continuously updated.
  • Extract and prepare L&H management information for use by the L&H CEO and the L&H management teams for analysis and decision making, as required.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, and liase with internal and external auditors.

QualificationsAbout you:We are looking for a technically strong individual with an avid interest in data management and reporting & analysis. At least 7 years post graduate relevant business experience, who enjoys collaborating with globally located teams and is seeking a challenging role in an exciting and fast-paced international environment.As an ideal candidate you have the following qualifications, skills, and mind-set:

  • Undergraduate in Business, Accounting or other related field.
  • Experience in data management, and reporting & analysis.
  • Life re(insurance) knowledge a plus.
  • Takes ownership in delivering high quality work within predetermined deadlines with excellent analytical skills.
  • Numbers oriented giving careful attention to detail and ensuring data is complete and of high quality.
  • Comfortable interacting with and clearly communicating requirements and results with multiple levels of management.
  • Excellent communication skills, highly organized, able to operate with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Knowledge of tools such as MS Excel, Business Objects, SQL, PeopleSoft, and Salesforce.
  • Fluency in English
  • Openness for continuous improvement and can-do attitude.
