We are looking for a Consultant Radiologist with an interest in Cardiac radiology to help support our two full time cardiac radiologists to cover a sabbatical and sick leave.Bristol is a large volume, tertiary adult and paediatric centre for cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery and has a well-established cardiac CT and MRI service.There are tertiary MDTs for adult congenital heart disease and cardiothoracics as well as specialist paediatric MDTs.The post holder would also be expected to take part in the general work of the department including acute Ct and MRI cover and adult diagnostic radiology on call.The post is well supported by cardiac radiology and cardiac fellows, radiology specialist registrars, radiographers and radiology nurses.Main duties of the jobThe successful candidate will be expected to comply with all relevant Trust policies relating to administration of patient care. This includes working to set timescales for the triage of requests the completion of discharge summaries prior to patients being discharged, following the specified process for the management of patients that do not attend (DNA) their appointment or admission, and the completion of all paperwork deemed necessary to support the management of their patients within agreed timescales.
