We are seeking an enthusiastic Locum Consultant Neurologist to join our dynamic and collegiate team at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals Trust on a fixed-term basis (8 PAs). The successful candidate will work at Watford General Hospital, and at either of our other two sites, Hemel Hempstead General Hospital, and St Albans City Hospital.You will be supported by a team of experienced and approachable consultant colleagues and have the opportunity to contribute to general neurology services, hot outpatient clinics, and acute in-patient liaison services. Subspeciality clinics can be established according to the candidate’s experience and interests.Core hours for the role are Monday to Friday, with shifts typically between 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Weekend working may be required on a rota basis. Full details will be discussed at the interview.Main duties of the jobThe post-holder will:Deliver high-quality neurology outpatient care across our sites and support acute inpatient referrals at Watford General Hospital.Participate in advice and guidance services and clinical governance activities, including clinical audits, risk management, and CPD.Contribute to departmental activities such as neuroradiology MDTs and administrative responsibilities.We are looking for a skilled, energetic and patient-focused neurologist who thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to excellence in patient care.About usWest Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust is committed to delivering outstanding care with our core values of Commitment, Care, and Quality.
