We are looking for a Logistics Coordinator to provide a full range of project management/administrative/procurement/accounting assistance, whilst exercising high degrees of confidentiality, tact and diplomacy. This is a great opportunity for an experienced, hands-on, and highly organised individual who can easily adapt to the day-to-day challenges of this critical role. Your recent experience in a similar role, a can-do attitude, along with attention to detail will see you soon become a highly valued member of the team.

Reporting directly to the Logistics Superintendent and whilst working in a team environment, you will;

  • Oversight and coordination of project work activities assigned.
  • Execution of planning and integration with stakeholders
  • Oversite of shared project procurement requirements and work to accomplish them
  • Quality assurance
  • Coordination of Pre-commissioning and commissioning activities
  • Coordination for day-to-day work scope between various contractor teams and active project execution schedules
  • Management of project daily reports and all associated documentation
  • Ensure successful and safe execution of projects through detailed planning and execution of scopes of work in compliance with the following RTKC HSE standards and programs, RTKC Contractor Management Standards, RTKC Permitting processes, Construction Contract scope, schedule, cost and design specifications and quality
  • Support the project teams in the development and execution of Contractor management documentation, Scope of Work documents, Project Execution Plan documents, Quality Assurance/Commissioning Execution Plan, forms, documentation, and schedules
  • Provide a greater understanding of accounting,
  • Provide or lead a full range of administrative support services to Managers and team members.

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • Project Management/Coordination Experience
  • Accounting, AP/AR experience
  • Experience with operational personnel coordination
  • Experience with cross-functional team management
  • Critical Risk Management and practices
  • Strong communication and conflict resolution skills – incident management
  • Quality assurance, pre-commissioning, and commissioning experience a plus
  • High level of schedule development and management experience
  • Work processing, Spreadsheet Management, Email management (Microsoft Products)
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communicator and interpersonal skills – both written and verbal
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize work effectively.
  • Team player with the ability to be self-motivated and work on own initiative.
  • Forward thinking and the ability to plan ahead.

Our Kennecott mine is a world-class, fully integrated copper mining operation, including a concentrator, smelter and refinery, located just outside Salt Lake City, Utah, in the United States.
