We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join the New York-New York Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas as a Lost and Found Clerk. This role involves compiling reports, filing, record keeping, copying, maintaining office supplies, answering phone calls, handling departmental filing, and managing the processing of lost and found items. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proficient with computers, and demonstrates a high level of integrity. If this describes you, we invite you to apply.THE JOB:The Lost and Found Clerk is responsible for a variety of administrative and clerical duties, including distributing incoming, outgoing, and interdepartmental mail; compiling standard reports; filing; record keeping; copying; maintaining office supplies; answering phone calls; handling departmental filing; and managing the processing of lost and found items. All tasks are performed in accordance with department guest service standards and MGM Resorts International policies, practices, and procedures.THE STARTING RATE: $16.00/hrTHE DAY-TO-DAY:Answering a multi-line phone system, directing calls, and taking messages for the Security Department.Compiling, copying, sorting, filing, and scanning department documents.Operating office equipment such as printers and fax machines.Preparing purchase orders for goods and services purchased by the department.Filing all lost and found/security-related reports.Logging, sorting, storing, and returning lost and found items to their owners.Preparing lost and found items for shipping and sorting unclaimed items for charity.Attempting to locate the owners of lost items and coordinating the pickup of lost and found items from hotel floors.Ensuring employee accident reports are properly completed and filed for Worker’s Compensation.Preparing security and lost and found paperwork for records retention.Performing other job-related duties as requested.THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:Prior experience in data entry, lost and found or a similar administrative role.Prior face to face customer service experience in a similar environment.Describes themselves as detail oriented.Enjoys helping others and likes to make a good impression.Can handle multiple tasks at one time.Proficiency in operating multi-line phone systems and using various computer software programs.Upholds the highest standards of integrity and confidentiality when handling sensitive information and lost and found items.Flexibility to work various hours/shifts as needed per on call requirements including overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays.THE PERKS & BENEFITS:Wellness incentive programs to help you stay healthy physically and mentally.Access to company hotel, food and beverage, retail, and entertainment discounts as well as discounts with company partners on things like travel, electronics, online shopping, and more.Free meals in our employee dining room.Free parking on and off shift.Healthcare, financial, and time off benefits.Professional and personal development through programs and networking opportunities as well as volunteer opportunities in the community.Are you ready to JOIN THE SHOW?
