After a turbulent couple of years, this historical food manufactures in Uttoxeter really has had a turnaround in fourtune. With millions of pounds of investment over the last 2 years into the site. Relaunching product lines this really has been a turnaround for the site.
With the enhancement of technology and new lines introduced we are adding to the current Maintenance team with the creation of 4 new roles.
Ideally we are looking for an electrical specialist who is there to support engineers on shift with their technical knowledge, able to upskill the workforce and continuously look for ways to improve projects. You will also need strong PLC skills, which includes working with existing software, modify and be able to adjust programmes.
Working on shift alongside the experianced shift engineers you will offer your expertise.
The role as a maintenance engineer:
- To provide technical support to the shift engineering team, reactive and proactive engineering work as required.
- Advise as shift expert in Electrical Engineering as and when required
- To own and maintain the preventative and planned maintenance schedules in line with KPI’s.
- To coordinate, plan and deliver training to engineers to assist with developing capability in the engineering team.
- This will be a role where no two days are the same, where your efforts will be recognised and will have an impact on the wider business.
To be successful in this electrical maintenance engineer’s role you will need:
- An electrical Engineering qualification, and/or a time served Apprenticeship in an engineering discipline
- Electrical systems and installation experience and training
- Experience of working in a heavy industry/machinery maintenance background preferably in a manufacturing environment and ideally food manufacturing or FMCG.
- A strong background in fault finding/rectification, programming & competent of working with PLC systems, ideally Allan Bradley or Omron.
The package on offer in this Maintenance Engineers role:
- 4 on 4 off days and nights pattern
- 7am – 7pm
- Basic salary of £51,500 over time available
- Pension, holiday and staff discounts.
