There are no limits to where you can take your career.Job SummaryBased here in our facilities in East Cowes, the Maintenance Mechanic will be part of a small, close-knit team, responsible for all work activities associated with manufacturing production; this will include planned maintenance, reactive breakdown, response/ repairs, and work requests across a 24/5 shift pattern at site, executing a varied range of activities that protect the site and ensure capability for manufacturing teams to perform their duties, and limit any production stoppages.Job ResponsibilitiesTypical responsibilities will include:
- Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance and checks.
- Responds to breakdowns and diagnostic faults.
- Finding and repair of equipment/faults.
- Supervising engineering and technical staff.
- Obtaining specialist components, fixtures or fittings.
- Installing pipework, valves, pumps and motors.
- Replacement of worn parts, resetting instrument controls, and cleaning of machinery
Job QualificationsSuitable applicants will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Previous similar experience gained in an industrial (preferably manufacturing) environment;
- Educated to minimum Level 3 in either Engineering Maintenance, Mechanical Fitting, or Process Engineering Management
- Strong communication skills
- Dependable, reliable and willing to undertake shift/out of hours work when required
