  • Preparing Assessment Work Packages (Job Cards, IWP’s, DWP’s) as per Pro-339.
  • Interfacing with customers to identify the full scope of work.
  • Visiting site and estimating work content for trades.
  • Identifying potential workplace hazards.
  • Identifying issues relating to jurisdictional requirements/codes.
  • Identifying materials and special tooling requirements.
  • Interfacing with engineering for design and evaluation of work.
  • Interfacing with other support groups for drawings, IRRs etc.
  • Identifying appropriate level of documentation and prepare corresponding work plan.
  • Identifying related procedures/manuals and appropriate references in work plan.
  • Recommending substitutions for equipment or components.
  • Procuring of Materials and Equipment.
  • Estimating and procure materials.
  • Preparing Purchase Requisitions.
  • Monitoring/expediting material ETAs.
  • Interfacing with Planning Coordinators to ensure tasks are scheduled based on accurate ETA information.
  • Other duties as assigned by your manager.

What we are looking for:EducationSuccessful completion of a recognized apprenticeship in one or more relevant industrial trades and a minimum of 2 years pertinent technical experience as a journeyman in the area of industrial maintenance or construction OR Graduation from an Institute of Technology or equivalent with a minimum of 6 years experience in industrial maintenance or construction. * Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Must be a self-starter and willing to promote new ideas with good problem solving skills.
  • Must perform duties in a manner that promotes department and Nuclear Operations goals and objectives.
  • Must communicate effectively with technical sections, Maintenance Planning Coordinators and work groups at all levels.
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback and dialogue for the Work Management and Maintenance teams to ensure proper job status and take suitable actions for resolving conflicts.
  • Must be competent in verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to stay motivated and achieve the established goals and objectives.
  • Must have a basic understanding of nuclear and conventional ASME and Canadian piping and pressure vessel codes, Canadian Building Codes, and (HVAC) Systems/Codes.
  • Must possess a working knowledge of the current Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations for Construction Projects for Ontario.
  • Must have experience with selection process equipment relevant to CRL facilities and maintenance management practices.
  • Must be familiar with business software such as E-mail, MS Word, MS Excel
  • Must be willing to undergo additional training appropriate to the position, eg. Computer training, Quality Assurance, Applicable Codes, Team Building Skills.
  • Must be able to understand and possess a working knowledge of the Work Management Software
  • Must have an up-to-date working knowledge of all applicable company and general safety regulations and procedures
  • Must have interpersonal skills
  • Security Clearance Eligibility Required
  • Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat’s “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”
