Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?Responsible for the management of personnel within the A+ Operations Processing team. The first level of escalation for quality and problem resolution for operational processing and administration. Assists the Senior Manager with operationalizing process and efficiency improvements, problem resolution and the integration/implementation of new initiatives and activities for the A+ Program. Responsible for the maintenance of established service level agreements with our DS Business. Accountable for the delivery of the department goals and objectives, while managing against business, operational/credit risk mitigation and enhancing the client experienceWhat will you do?
- Delivers on superior client experience; focusing on doing what is best for our clients and the organization – making it Simpler, Faster, Better.
- Ensures department employees understand A+ Operations and Wealth Management Operations strategic goals and the key impact their team’s day to day performance has on end-to-end processing, administration, and service cycles.
- Leads by example, demonstrates the Leadership Model behaviours consistently creating a positive and productive work environment on a daily basis.
- Leads focused efforts in establishing individual goals, leading performance enablement, supporting employee development, career coaching and rewarding strong performance.
- Recruits, retains, and motivates top talent to ensure business success and robust succession planning.
- Actively participates in business planning with the Senior Manager, supporting the A+ Operations and business and client strategies.
- Overall responsibility for operational risk for the department. Coach team to take appropriate action to close gaps identified (e.g. financial operations, AML, BCM, NIE, Custody, Internal Audit and ICR).
- Leads work effort across the team to enable cross skilling, training and understanding the value and importance of continuous learning and an agile, flexible, and adaptable workforce.
What do you need to succeed?Must Have
- 5+ years of securities, banking, technology and/or job specific industry experience
- 2+ years demonstrated and sound managerial experience leading and managing a team
- Ability to work effectively in situations involving rapid change, shifting priorities, and/or simultaneous demands.
- Experience with identifying and implementing process/system changes which reduce risk, increase efficiencies
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
