We are active, present, and engaged in the markets we finance including healthcare, condo, and strata, (repair and maintenance), leveraged lending, commercial/corporate and structured program financing.The opportunityThe Manager of Cashflow and Leveraged Lending will manage a portfolio of mid-market clients in CWB Maxium’s Diversified industry, typically those with EBITDA of $3+ million and financial needs of $10+ million. Responsibilities include supporting the Managing Director in client servicing, transaction closing, portfolio monitoring, financial analysis, modeling, and credit writing. The Manager will also be involved in pitches for new financing opportunities and work to grow Maxium’s portfolio share. This role reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and requires a self-motivated, well-organized candidate with strong skills in risk assessment, financial analysis, and portfolio management.Areas of focusClient Support and Service·Prepare and deliver customized lending proposals and discussion papers to prospective and existing clients, leading financial analysis and credit correspondence.·Consult regularly with internal (e.g., Managing Director, Credit Risk Management) and external stakeholders (clients, advisors, large law firms) to complete credit-related requests related to underwriting and loan documentation.·Ensure a high-quality client experience, build long-term relationships, and act as a trusted advisor.·Assist in preparing discussion papers, coordinating/negotiating terms, and deal closing with stakeholders.·Collaborate with clients to develop financial models and analytical tools to evaluate capital and financing structures.·Perform ongoing monitoring and management of assigned portfolio accounts, ensuring the completion of annual reviews and identifying potential issues.Financial Analysis·Provide accurate and detailed financial analysis and risk assessment of new and existing customers.·Write initial credit assessments, work with the credit team to finalize formal credit applications, and ensure risk-taking aligns with CWB Maxium’s lending practices.·Coordinate with third-party advisors and law firms for deal structuring and legal documentation of complex transactions.·Work with clients on finance renewals, negotiating new loan and credit terms, and assist with the adjudication process.Relationship Management·Inspire trust through open, honest, and direct communication, meeting commitments, and behaving ethically.·Treat all stakeholders with professionalism, dignity, and respect, supporting an environment where people can excel.·Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration in a diverse working environment.·Accept responsibility and accountability for actions and results, making decisions guided by sound business judgment and market knowledge.·Promote cooperation and commitment within the CWB Group to achieve common goals and act as a model for CWB Maxium’s Core Values.Who we’re looking for & what you’ve doneEducationUndergraduate or Graduate degree in finance, accounting, business administration, economics, or commerce.Professional or post-graduate designation (MBA/CPA/CFA) is required.Professional Experience5-7 years of financial services experience within commercial or corporate banking.Experience in structuring cashflow/leveraged lending or with private debt funds is an asset.Experience in closing large, complex corporate transactions with leading law firms is an asset.Experience in credit adjudication, with strong skills in financial statement analysis and risk mitigation strategies for complex corporate cashflow/leveraged lending transactions.Why work with us?Your success is our obsession!
