What is the opportunity?
In this role, you will be a credit professional who will work as part of a team to assess and process routine credit solutions for High Net Worth (HNW) clients aligned with Private Banking’s value proposition. You will also deliver on the RBC promise of superior client service through efficient support to the Manager(s) Credit Structures.

What will you do?
Collaborate with the Manager(s) Credit Structures and Partners to achieve a superior client experience, including ownership of client problem resolution, and ongoing relationship building with Private Bankers; Managers, Credit Structures; and PBSC contacts to support them in delivering the “Black Card” experience.
Coordinate the flow of documentation to ensure premium turnaround time and overall efficiency, meeting or exceeding client expectations.
Prepare, recommend or submit comprehensive and accurate credit proposals for approval, supported by thorough credit analysis
Managing risk and operational effectiveness by demonstrating commitment to keeping up to date on all communications including changes to RBC policy and procedures.
Collaborate with team to correct or remedy “out of order” negotiable and non-negotiable collateral security and to maintain control over out-of-order situations (excessive margin deficiencies, etc.)
Adhere to delegated lending authorities and ensure appropriate Risk Management approval is obtained, when necessary.
Comply with Risk Management and Compliance Guidelines and all corporate compliance policies and keeping current on all issues. Follow corporate risk guidelines/policies to manage the risk of credit solutions.
Collaborate with team to identify, evaluate and act on early warning signals, financial covenants, margins, collateral security values and take immediate action, as required. Determine areas of operational risk or potential losses. Recommend and implement action plans to address and/or correct.
What do you need to succeed?
Must Have
Proficient at credit structuring
Relationship management experience
Proven ability to analyze, interpret, and understand financial statements to articulate cash flow from all income streams
3-5 years of lending experience in the banking industry
Must be able to work 3 days from office and 2 days from home, subject to change based on business needs
Nice to Have
Complex lending, small business and/or commercial banking experience
