Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?The Manager of CM Variable Compensation and Reporting is responsible for acting as the subject matter expert for Capital Markets Variable Compensation by supporting internal and external reporting and analysis. The Manager will responsible for overseeing the end-to-end process of variable compensation by understanding the estimate process, ensuring accurate monthly reporting and preparing over/under-accrual analysis to determine the bonus available to be paid; as well as Identifying and implementing new projects to enhance monthly management reporting and streamline processes.What will you do?

  • Manage reporting and analysis of Capital Markets (CM) variable compensation programs
  • Act as a key contact with HR personnel and all Financial Control staff to ensure the accurate reporting of current and deferred compensation programs.
  • Manage the CM general pool bonus calculation and reporting.
  • Coordinate monthly bonus accrual booking and reconciliation process with global financial controllers.
  • Manage the year-end variable compensation payment reconciliation process through dealings with HR and FC staff across all global regions.
  • Review regional submissions for reasonability and provide guidance as the subject matter expert
  • Perform consolidated CM bonus reconciliation and over/under analysis for senior management.
  • Prepare allocation of hedging costs and MTM of CM deferred compensation plan and hedging ineffectiveness analysis.
  • Prepare bonus-related note disclosures, tax analysis and slides for senior management
  • Proactively identify and manage process improvements and streamlining opportunities for the end-to-end variable compensation process.
  • Assist HR IT to automate variable compensation reporting.
  • Prepare taxable equivalent gross up calculation and reconciliation.
  • Assist with the monthly financial close process, ensuring accurate month end results are reported by global teams.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet disclosures and quarterly reporting.
  • Manage external audit quarterly assistance schedule with all regions.
  • Special projects as required.

What do you need to succeed?Must Have

  • Undergraduate University Degree required
  • Accounting designation (CA, CPA, CMA) required
  • 2+ years’ experience in an accounting/auditing and reporting environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organization skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Conflicts and issues resolution and escalation
  • Motivated and proactive individual who can work in a high pressure, high reward environment
