As the Manager, Complex Billing and Reporting, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of Canadian Wealth Management’s Fee Group. You will be responsible for the oversight and management of complex fee billing processes, supporting primarily the Private Investment Counsel and Scotiatrust business lines, including monthly and quarterly manual and complex billing activities, reconciliations and allocations, and the provision of fee reporting at regular intervals, as well as on an ad hoc basis, to business partners. The incumbent is also responsible for developing and managing relationships with internal and external partners, and service providers to support and provide value to the business.
Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
- Manage all day-to-day fee operational administration issues and concerns
- Lead a team of subject matter experts, ensuring an elevated level of service to clients on all fee related matters including complex billing, calculation, collection, reconciliation, and allocation activities
- Direct change and implement improvements to the support services offered, to continuously improve the field/client experience
- Lead, oversee, and act as a subject matter expert in all projects and initiatives that impact fee operations, technologies, and tools
- Oversee the regulatory and compliance components of fee administration and collection, ensuring that regulatory and compliance issues are being managed in a proactive and timely manner
- Lead and contribute to the success of the Fee Group and the Account Transfers & Fee Based Operations team by building effective working relationships across the team and with various business lines.
- Actively share knowledge and experience to enhance the development of all team members
- Develop communication strategies and guidelines by working closely with the team, and business partners, to ensure all administrative tools are created and kept current, ensuring access to timely information
- Identify systemic problems, perform detailed analysis, and provide recommendations, as well as execute change and deliver solutions related to fee collection and processing
- Ensure an elevated level of accuracy in all activities and that departmental service level agreements are met
- Oversee the production of metrics, status updates and escalations to Senior Leadership as required
The Must Haves:
- University degree or college diploma is an asset
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a leadership capacity
- Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) is an asset
- Exceptional understanding of operational processes, market practices and regulatory requirements pertaining to Wealth Management
