Requisition ID: 195929Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture.What your role will be…Manager, Credit Analysis & Support Team (18-month contract)The Manager, Credit Analysis & Support Team will help the Credit Analysis & Support Team contribute to the overall success of Commercial Automotive Finance by ensuring the highest standard of quality control on rating and credit monitoring activities for their assigned portfolio. The Manager will lead a team of Sr. Analysts and Analysts and is responsible for the daily workflow including monitoring time-sensitive requests to meet deadlines and provide relevant creative solutions to issues as they arise.What you will be doing…

  • Manage a team of Senior Analysts and Analysts in the completion of certain credit risk analysis and portfolio management tasks for their assigned portfolio, ensuring timely completion and high quality of work in accordance with Bank policies;
  • Assisting in daily workflow management including monitoring time-sensitive requests, responding to queries, managing deadline expectations and providing relevant and creative solutions to issues as they arise;
  • Monitor compliance reporting, including Overdue Annual Reviews and Overdue Rating Refreshes to ensure that the Commercial Automotive Portfolio is compliant with OSFI requirements;
  • Proactively liaise with Sr. Relationship Managers, with borrowing accounts in the Manager’s assigned portfolio, gather feedback and ensure that the team is providing high quality support.

Coaching and Development of Sr. Analysts and Analysts

  • Mentor, coach and assist in the continuous development of a comprehensive training program that ensures the team of Senior Analysts and Analysts possesses sufficient skills and resources necessary to achieve the performance objectives of the department, as well as the individual development goals of the Analysts;
  • Ability to facilitate and promote team building among team members and related Sales team;
  • Assist in talent recruitment via campus recruiting, corporate presentations and Analyst candidate interviews.

Periodic Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in regular meetings with business units and risk management in order to understand and support business initiatives;
  • Carry out preliminary assessment on changes related to the recalibration of risk rating templates and/or other major control processes;
  • Keep management abreast of potential issues and assist in creating solutions.

What you need to succeed…

  • Credit writing and credit analysis experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail while balancing multiple urgent priorities and tasks
  • Customer focus is required to understand and manage priorities for clients
  • Excellent financial analysis and accounting skills
  • Excellent understanding of the credit process and risk rating analysis
  • Good industry knowledge with area of specialization where required
  • Ability to work well independently and to be an effective team leader and team member
  • Ability to adjust to changing work demands and to be seen as a valuable team resource
  • Leadership skills to set high performance standards and to take responsibility for achieving team results
  • Continuous focus on achieving higher standards, exceeding benchmarks and improving processes
  • Ability to apply good judgment, identify critical problems/key risks, and to find workable alternatives and solutions
  • Degree in Business or related field (Undergraduate, MBA, or CPA Designation)
