The incumbent implements Hedging Strategies under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) to ensure the Bank qualify eligible derivatives for hedge accounting treatment, thus immunizing any volatility in the Bank earnings and add value to the business lines. The Opportunity: to gain experience with systems and technical accounting knowledge in variety of Bank’s financial products, valuations & analysis and reporting. Can enjoy dealing with business partners globally and manage variety of projects for systems developments and operational process improvements. This dynamic team adopts a hybrid model by working from the office and remotely.Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate daily with Derivative Hedge Qualifications (DHQ)staff, IT support for Hedge Accounting & qualification System (HAQS) to monitor HAQS performance and resolve production issues promptly.
  • Investigate HAQS errors /abnormal behavior in collaboration with other DHQ staff and HAQS support; help other team member to raise JIRA, prioritize JIRA/change request, perform/review UAT test, and ensure the production release are implemented properly.
  • Draft business requirements for HAQS change/enhancement including HAQS regular release and large projects; bridge the gap between DHQ and technology sides
  • Investigate and resolve incorrect hedge accounting outcomes in EGL due to upstream or downstream system issues.
  • Champion smart automation including EUC automation and system related controls.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:

  • Self-driven, analytical, and collaborative; problem-solving, time-management and communication skills is required.
  • 4+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst – need strong experience with requirement gathering and documentation creation.
  • 4+ year combined experience JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, MS office suite or equivalent tools
  • A recognized undergraduate degree in business administration, computer science or related field required.
  • Knowledge of Peak or other trading system, HAQS, PeopleSoft EGL, OBI;
