Requisition ID: 202238Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture.PurposeThe Manager role is part of Global Compliance & AML team and contributes to the overall success of the Governance, Reporting & Analytics team ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. They ensure all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. In addition, the manager role will also support ad-hoc projects related to Global Compliance and AML.Accountabilities
- Support the development and maintenance of Governance, Reporting and Issues Management dashboards, providing well thought out findings and recommendations to inform decisions on policies, practices and procedures.
- Support the effectiveness and efficiency of the Governance framework, policies and procedures, and risk activities across the organization.
- Develop and maintain project plans, outlining tasks, timelines, and dependencies.
- Design, implement & collaborate with various teams within Governance, Reporting and Issues Management pillar by understanding the program requirements and developing bespoke reporting solutions.
- Develop procedures, user guides, training materials, and other supporting documentation for reporting solutions.
- Develops and delivers training sessions to stakeholders regarding reporting tool and Dashboard implementation.
- Manage stakeholder relationships by coordinating relevant meetings to ensure alignment and to solicit feedback for continuous improvement.
- Investigate potential issues with developed reporting solutions, propose solutions and engage with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.
- Champion and continuous improvement within the team.
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Pursue effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Education/Experience
- University degree or equivalent in Business, Accounting, Finance, Mathematics or related field is desirable
- 3+ years of experience in banking or financial services industry with experience, preferably within a risk management, compliance, or audit function
- Solution oriented mindset
- Proficient with MS Office including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
- Effective communication skills. The ability to clearly communicate with leadership and others in the organization is paramount
- Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, challenging, and dynamic business environment.
- Able to manage multiple activities to aggressive deadlines
- Advanced SharePoint & Power BI Dashboard development experience is an asset
- Project Management experience is an asset
