Requisition ID: 202396Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture.Global Finance creates customer and shareholder value by providing financial leadership to our business partners with insightful financial analysis, and maintaining effective financial controls, through a team of highly motivated finance professionals.The Reporting department within Global Finance plays a key role in the reporting and analysis of the Bank’s financial results at both the All Bank and Divisional levels.The Global Finance team supports Canadian Banking, Global Wealth Management, Global Banking and Markets, International Banking, Group Treasury, and Executive Office business units. The incumbent will be primarily responsible for the processes leading to the production of financial and management reports for Business Lines and Executive Office. The incumbent will support the team in providing timely and accurate information for senior management, and other accountabilities related to All-Bank reporting.All activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.Is this role right for you? In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • The production of monthly and quarterly financial reporting and analysis (including externally published reports) on a timely basis while ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
  • The production of management reporting and analysis.
  • Supporting regulatory reporting, such as OSFI operating segments and geographic reporting.
  • Managing the production of monthly EGL entries to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery within strict monthly timetables.
  • Supporting the Annual Business Line Rule Update process, business line allocations, and adjustments required to produce business line results.
  • Coordinating with Finance technology teams (Global Finance Technology) on Chart of Account (COFA) governance.
  • Participating in the initiatives that are required to support strategic business changes, management decisions, and process improvements.
  • Communicating and resolving accounting and reporting issues with business partners and management.
  • Maintaining and developing strong controls over operational and analytical processes.
  • Developing staff and contributing to a high-performance team culture.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We’d love to work with you if you have the following:

  • Post-secondary degree in Finance or Accounting with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience. Professional accounting designation is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of financial and management accounting standards.
  • Strong quantitative and financial analytical skills. Ability to relate financial data to business results and identify issues and trends.
  • Solid understanding of the elements of effective controls over accuracy and completeness of data.
  • Highly organized with demonstrated experience in solving problems.
  • Strong team player with the ability to work independently and the flexibility to multitask effectively with tight timelines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated commitment to excellent customer services.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills to present analysis and recommendations.
  • Proficient knowledge of PeopleSoft EGL, OBI, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
