Leads and supports Global Fraud Authentication for all business lines, channels, and products in all markets/countries in which the Bank operates ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures. This role will assist in the establishment of the Global Authentication function for the Bank to prevent Fraud attacks and minimize downstream impacts to customers, operational teams, and the Bank’s bottom line.

Is This Role Right for You? In this role, you will:

  • Supports and drives a customer focused culture throughout the team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Assists in the framework development for investigations to address anomalies discovered via the Authentication Dashboard and for ensuring all critical parties across multiple functional areas and countries are assembled to conduct investigations, and for escalating matters as required to ensure appropriate visibility and oversight. This includes working with a team of specialized cyber fraud professionals and data scientists to effectively support the control room.
  • Supports activities to establish the framework to develop an understanding of Authentication Tools/Deployments Internally, in the Market, and at peer Banks to inform the Bank’s Authentication strategy and roadmap globally. This includes initial capability attribute mapping, and responsibility for developing an understanding of the non-digital authentication space, and how digital capabilities can be leveraged to strengthen authentication practices therein. It will also require an understanding of global regulatory environments and their impact on authentication decisions and benefits.
  • Contributes to the development of Executive reporting and presentations, as well as a Partner Website and the establishing of a roadmap to scale these to provide comprehensive information about authentication, products, all-Bank strategy and status of critical enterprise projects, as well as for supporting the intake process for authentication strategy/solution related requests (many of these are audit and/or regulatory related). These requests require consultation across multiple technical teams/tech partners; various second line teams and multiple operational teams globally. There will be a heavy focus on the cards and payments space and authentication capabilities and structures needed to support step-up authentication to meet industry requirements and timelines, while ensuring compliance with the Bank’s policies and procedures.
  • Assists and supports activities for RFPs and for working with Procurement to minimize time to market of fraud reducing authentication tools and strategies that also support a positive customer experience, as well as supporting technical and fraud benefit discussions in conjunction with these projects and other initiatives across the Authentication and Onboarding Space.
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:

  • 5+ years’ banking experience with strong knowledge of Cyber Security & Fraud required
  • Strong understanding of Data Science and Analytics required
  • Experience in the Authentication & Onboarding spaces
  • Bachelor’s degree required; CA or MBA (or equivalent) preferred
  • Spanish Fluency is considered an asset
  • Working knowledge of the Bank’s products (including payments and cards), risk areas, and protect functions, as well as a basic understanding of Finance
  • Knowledge of transformation / project management methodologies and tools
  • Expert knowledge of MS applications (Work, Excel, Project, PowerPoint & PowerBi)
