The incumbent will support efforts to identify, analyze & test for conduct and sales conduct vulnerabilities and opportunities using data, and create action plans to resolve. This involves working with large datasets and distributed computing tools to create structures and analysis environments.Is This Role Right for You? In this role, you will:

  • Support the analysis of employee & customer data and information to identify insights that support the Retail Sales Practices mandate by:
  • Analyzing employee sales results, customer transaction and channel activity data to support insights related to employee behavior and customer experience in channels using advanced statistical and analytical techniques
  • Documenting ideas and findings with recommendations and insights in an easily consumable manner
  • Transforming and cleaning large data sets, including structured and unstructured data
  • Performing data mining & modelling
  • Support the development and maintenance of testing criteria and methodologies to ensure that the right level of monitoring is taking place for Retail Distribution supporting positive customer outcomes.
  • Support the development of appropriate and consistent testing protocols, methodologies and standards for detection of improper sales conduct.
  • Support the Senior Manager in establishing acceptable thresholds for each reported data stream to delineate outlier behaviours
  • Support the development and maintenance of consistent sales practices oversight and monitoring by:
  • Participating in setting direction for analysis and associated data visualization
  • Assisting in the improvement of operational activities by identifying and implementing process improvements, identifying methods to monitor and maintain oversight and potential enhancements
  • Support the dissemination of outputs, insights & results by:
  • Enabling self-service reporting and analysis by end users
  • Maintaining and iterating communication frameworks
  • Building executive dashboards
  • Following through on feedback for sales practices outlier reporting coordinated through the Regional and District teams.
  • Using feedback outcomes to refine analysis, insights and understanding of the data
  • Support an environment in which their team pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:

  • Experience cleaning, transforming and visualizing large data sets working with various data
  • Ability to communicate effectively with executives, business partners, and technical resources in analytics and data management
  • Experience using and implementing data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI to deliver reports
  • Strong SQL skills for querying relational databases (e.g.DB2) and extensive experience with statistical analysis tools like SAS
  • Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases and behavioral and transactional analytics tools and techniques
  • Excellent business acumen and strategic thinking skills
  • Expert ability to manage and organize information, including interpretation of results for management presentation purposes
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams and build networks and relationships
  • Prior work experience within Financial Services Industry
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • University degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years of data analytics experience, with at least 2 years of big data analytics experience
