This is a special measure employment equity initiative and candidates from this group who wish to qualify for preferential consideration must self-identify.Job DescriptionReporting to the Director, Marketing Operations, the Manager, Marketing Operations is responsible for enhancing the efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability of the Marketing organization. The Manager oversees and optimize marketing processes, technology, and data to enhance overall performance and drive business growth. The Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Sales, Technology, Product, and Finance, that manage marketing technology and cloud-based programs, to optimize and implement processes, facilitate the evaluation and selection of new technologies, and improve performance across departments. The Manager partners closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of marketing campaigns and initiatives.The Manager works effectively with the Marketing Data and Insights team to monitor reporting, dashboards, and budgets to measure the effectiveness and performance of identified marketing initiatives and programs including channel to market. The Manger communicates these insights, on a regular basis, to Marketing, Sales, Technology, Product, and Finance teams.Job ResponsibilitiesBelow are the main job requirements and responsibilities for the Manager, Marketing Operations.1. Develops streamlined marketing workflows and customer journeys to enhance the Marketing organization’s efficiency and productivity.2. Manages the operation, enhancement, and optimization of marketing technology and data infrastructure. Supports innovation and modernization of infrastructure and systems to improve customer relationship management in alignment with business goals.3. Partners with the Director to establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that measure the effectiveness and performance of identified marketing initiatives and programs. Monitors, tracks, and reports on KPIs to evaluate Marketing’s overall business performance and objectives.4. Collaborates with the broader Marketing team and key stakeholders including Sales, Technology, Product, and Finance to deliver business programs. Utilizes performance reporting and analytics to generate actionable insights including identifying opportunities for improvement and optimizing processes and resources.Job Responsibilities (continued)5. Contributes to the creation of marketing budgets, managing the allocation of funds, tracking expenses, and optimizing the use of marketing resources. Makes recommendations that enable dynamic and efficient utilization of marketing assets.6. Leads Marketing team skill enhancement efforts by conducting training sessions, providing guidance on efficient utilization of marketing technologies and processes, and implementing industry best practices.7. Proactively monitors industry trends, market dynamics, new developments, and technological innovations related to Marketing Operations to enable strategic planning and delivery of outcomes in alignment with business priorities.8. Maintains a high-level understanding of the Corporation’s vision and strategic direction. Ensures that all marketing operation activities are directly tied to and aligned with the overarching corporate goals and strategic initiatives.QualificationsEducation
- Completed Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing, Analytics OR a combination of equivalent professional experience and training is required
Experience
- 3 to 5 years of relevant functional experience in marketing operations, marketing automation, or related field is required
Other Candidate Requirements
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions
- Knowledge of marketing processes, campaign execution, lead management, and marketing attribution models
- Familiarity with data management and governance practices including data cleansing, segmentation, and reporting
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient computer skills and advanced competency with Microsoft Office programs
- Basic skill and understanding of standard technical languages including HTML and SQL
- Knowledge of marketing technology platforms (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud), CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce Sales Cloud), and CDP platforms (e.g., Salesforce Data Cloud)
- Advanced knowledge of analytics and reporting tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, PowerBI, Tableau, Datorama)
