Join our collaborative and industry-leading media team, where your ideas and contributions are valued and make an impact.Reporting to the Senior Manager(s), Media Strategy and Optimization, the media specialist/coordinator is responsible for supporting the RBC media team and the acceleration of business growth through the development of integrated media plans across paid media in support of marketing strategies.We are looking for a team player who can support cross-functional collaboration across all teams, internal and external, bringing to life strategic campaigns across all touchpoints. Powered by data & insights, a passion for media in Canada and how advertising can drive positive business and marketing outcomes for Canada’s most trusted brand.What will you do?

  • Support the RBC media team on all media initiatives that help drive a productive team culture and ensure excellent internal client service and external communications.
  • Collaborate with manager and the marketing team to write media briefs that outline campaign expectations and guidance for the development of marketing materials
  • Opportunity to own an internal account end-to-end, advising on marketing briefs, media strategy and recommendations, campaign go-to-market and reporting.
  • Manage relationship with external media agency of 30+ individuals.
  • Support the collection and analyses of data across various deliverables; such as:
  • Reporting: Tracking and analyzing media performance using tableau and agency reports to help drive media performance and improve business results for #OneRBC
  • Competitive Reporting: Utilize various sources (adquest, mintel, etc.) to prepare and analyze competitive activity for marketing teams
  • Marketing Mix Modelling:
  • Help coordinate and synthesize data. Identifying and analyzing variances to help the team bring forward accurate data driven models.
  • Review and maintain accurate accounts of spend by LOB- verifying through agency feeds, blocking charts and internal documents
  • Ensure all relevant internal and external stakeholders have visibility of media plans to achieve alignment on go-to-market strategies.

What Do You Need to Succeed?

  • College diploma and/or bachelor’s degree in media, marketing, communications, or related field
  • 1-2 years of relevant ad agency or client-side experience
  • Familiarity with both digital and traditional media
  • Knowledge of Tableau, Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint
  • Teamwork, strong customer service mind-set and ability to build relationships across all levels within our organization.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, presentation and communications skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve with the capability to articulate constructive and realistic solutions.
  • Proficiency in managing multiple projects to tight timelines in a fast-paced and changing environment.
